This cuvée is named after Daniel Chotard’s father, Marcel and uncle Henri. It’s made from the domaine’s two oldest plots of vines. Now approaching 70 years of age, these venerable old plants give a wine of real concentration while maintaining a balancing freshness. The classic conditions of the cool 2021 vintage impart finesse and refreshment, while the extended ageing on lees ensures a creamy, mouth-filling texture. This is complex and persistent, with a lingering, saline finish.
