Puer Apuliae or ‘Son of Apulia’: this is how Frederick II of Swabia was called, the 13th-century emperor who, with the Castel del Monte, left an indelible memory of himself to humanity. This wine of great character and elegance is a ‘Puer Apuliae’ because it is made from an almost forgotten clone of Nero di Troia selected by Rivera in its Tafuri vineyard.
